Information Business: 6 Reasons Why Create Your Own

Whether you have an Internet business or not, now you have the chance to improve your accuracy by an Information Business.

I have been doing this for more than 10 years now during which I have not only developed 4 Online Businesses based on my experiences and passions, but I have also created more than 50 niche businesses with my partners and for my clients.

PPC … if you are thinking of starting an online business but have a full-time job that steals all your time, surely this checklist will be of great help. Even today people make a lot of confusion on the subject of “Information Business” and today I want to solve this problem once and for all and give you the information you need to understand if it can be a viable path for you. Even today people make a lot of confusion on the subject of “Information Business” and today I want to solve this problem once and for all and give you the information you need to understand if it can be a viable path for you.

What the heck is an Information Business?

First of all some clarity.

Here the problem starts with the name people give to this business 🙂.

Some call it ” Information Marketing “, others ” Information Business ” other ” sales of digital information products ” others ” sales infoprodotti ” not to mention those who encompass everything in the ” Content Marketing .”

One thing is certain everyone gives it a name as they like, for example, I have always liked to call it InfoBusiness, in my opinion, the most suitable and that manages to immediately convey the concept of what it is.

An Information Business is simply a business based on sharing your experiences and passions, matured over time in a certain area.

In the world, there is always someone who needs certain information, certain paths that only an expert knows how to set up.

Well, these “educational” products have taken hold in the last 12 years in a crazy way, bringing the training of people to be pocketable and accessible to anyone from anywhere.

In the end, there is nothing new … years ago DVD courses were very popular that can be purchased at newsstands via subscription as well as the construction of a ship or a dinosaur skeleton. Do you remember? In the end, the concept is that the only substantial variable is that we usually prefer to share educational material in digital format, therefore without creating any physical product and making it accessible via the internet.

The creation of digital information products is now widespread and portals such as Udemy  (which obtained 80 million dollars from investors, the latest on May 2021) have been born where y’all seat give your experience by marketing video programs.

Unfortunately in Italy, it was hard to adapt to this change, up to a couple of years ago I too was still receiving questions like “ When will you send me the course? ”But now it seems that actors have got the idea of digital and the benefits of reading comfortably in front of the PC 🙂.

Creating a digital information product is very simple, we have the most common formats such as ebooks (pdf files) or video courses (mp4 videos) to create courses complete with mind maps as I do, interactive quizzes, summary checklists, audio courses, and much more.

The teaching material is purchased by credit card (receive payment via Paypal ) and immediately afterward the customer accesses the course by downloading the files on the PC or by accessing a private area of the site.

6 sensational advantages of an InfoBusiness that the media want to hide

Even if it may seem exaggerated, having an InfoBusiness means being free.

Internet is information. An InfoBusiness is a piece of information at a high level. Information is freedom. And right scares the media, the main tools that states and governments use to gain power.

Whether you are a novice entrepreneur looking for his way or a mature salesman looking for new opportunities to connect to his primary business, an InfoBusiness can bring benefits that unfortunately are not easy to assimilate in Italy .

Multiply yourself

if you are a consultant and a professional it is easy to understand this concept. Your income has come from selling your services, whether they are paid by the hour or finished work, in the end, you get paid for the time you spend on producing something.

If you stop, nobody pays you.

And as you well remember, even if you have help, your behavior is unique.

By an InfoBusiness, you build a stock once and you’re finished. While it will take time to create that product, you can sell it to many people for years, without further work.

This is why InfoBusiness is unique. Because it allows you to earn like no other business can do nowadays.

Plus, the information you need to create a training course is already inside your brain! You don’t need to pay other experts or spend money to fill the stock.

An InfoBusiness allows you to take what you already have, to exploit it and join it to the internet, to make it available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, even if you are sleeping or on vacation.

The best way to multiply yourself.

2) Recurring customers

The teachers (Info Marketer) are highly regarded. This happens because human nature is sooooo grateful when someone gives us useful information. Even if you don’t realize it, you too are strongly inclined to value someone who shares important information, thinks carefully.

People are like that, they give a tremendous amount even automatically to report.

And on the internet when you manage to get this esteem, this recognition, you practically won!

People will continue to buy your info-products and in case your business is another, there is no better way to show people how good you are at what you do, advice and quotes will be dim as never seen before.

Simply put, whether you’re aiming solely to sell digital information products or support your core business, your course customers will be very likely to continue to use you.

3) Few breaks, more free time

One of the best things about an Information Business is that it can be 100% automated.

Furthermore, no one will ask you to “physically” see your product, to explain it to them in person, or to commit yourself as if it were a normal consultation, in short, fewer breakdowns than …

And do we want to talk about the workplace? You can easily work from wherever you want, from the beach (come to Bondi Beach with me, there is free wifi 😀) from the mountain chalet, lying on the sofa, anywhere!

All of this not only gives you more free time but allows you to focus on what needs to be done to produce more profit.

4) Act alone

An Info business, also thanks to its automation, needs very few staff to get it started and running. You don’t need x employees to launch your InfoBusiness, quite the opposite. Most info-marketers work alone and hire freelancers for technical or other time-consuming jobs.

And I know many Italian info-marketers who work alone or have only one employee and who also earn 1 million euros a year.

Many have chosen to learn to do a little bit of everything, I started to like this myself, without even investing in designers and engineers but as you can imagine it takes more time to do everything yourself, even if it is possible.

5) Low investment

An Info business requires a low investment to get started.

It does not ask you to rent a nice office, to hire a secretary, to invest in a certain amount of goods and above all it does not ask you to have a specific type of training or degree (in greatest cases).

You just need your skills and your experience, a hosting plus the domain for about 50 euros or if you want ready meals, a couple of thousand euros to get you to create an ultra-professional site and of course a small fee for your autoresponder. However, the path you want to take, the largest investment will represent the time (or money) you will have to take to get visibility on the web but …

I, in the last 5 years, have invested less than what it would take to open a franchise shop (with all the uncertainties of the case), and believe me, I don’t mean only economically.

A business that requires a low investment means little risk and today I challenge anyone to find a business that requires such a negligible risk as InfoBusiness.

6) Pure profit

If you sell a video course for 100 euros, you just have to remove the taxes, the rest is pure profit.

If you still don’t know, there are companies nowadays (eg Apple) that have to invest 4/5 of their turnover to keep going.

For a small business owner, this is very risky. It would take just one month to close the shack. An InfoBusiness, on the other hand, brings pure profit, and no, you can’t calculate that little money you spend on hosting, it would be pathetic.

Also, the potential of an InfoBusiness is unlimited.

There are cases in which an Info marketer becomes a multi-millionaire, but I don’t think this is so common in Italy than in itself it is already a niche …

Apart from the millionaires, I have an endless list of Italians who live by traveling the world, selling information products, and earning between 50 and 300 thousand euros a year.

Put aside “get rich now”

This is an article that talks about the benefits of an InfoBusiness so it is common to get up to here and see everything rosy but I recommend, do not be like the classic Italian that just reads about people who work online thinks about scams or people of little value.

If a person has 30 years of experience he is a trustworthy person, but if this same person starts selling the same experience on the internet, he becomes a scammer.

I ask myself: What twisted mind can such a thought ever come out of?

There is no need to create an InfoBusiness to scam people, anyone can do it, it’s very easy. And if an unskilled person proposes himself as an expert, that’s not a problem, natural selection also happens on the internet!

The hard part is gaining success and telling people that you are the expert you are. From my point of view, it is easy to take out your wallet and open a shop. Simple isn’t it?

But music changes if we have to give the best of ourselves to give value to an audience if we have to demonstrate that we have gained the experience necessary to teach others.

And believe someone that this job has been doing it for a while, it is priceless to be able to work from home or anywhere you want and have the technology working for you 24/7. This is worth any effort.

If you have given a certain point in your work where, for some purpose, you are not happy with what you have collected (if you have collected), then you should seriously consider starting your InfoBusiness.

5 steps to starting your InfoBusiness IMMEDIATELY

I have already written a lot but I do not want to leave you on the very best 🙂.

I want to share with you a series of steps to follow to get started immediately with your InfoBusiness even if of course you will have to deepen the subject further, each step will require some work on its own but you can certainly take this guide as a reference point 😉.

1) Analyze the market (and find the niche)

Whatever your skills, there is not necessarily enough market to create an entire business.

I think that any information can be shared and sold on the web, there will always be someone who will appreciate our work but the problem is precisely the number of these characters who will be involved in our practice.

If, on the other hand, your market is huge (as it often happens) we will need to analyze the topics better and find a niche that allows us to be successful in a more specific sector and more hungry for (specific) information.

The first thing to do is certainly to do some analysis, use SEMrush (in the free account), the Google keyword planner,  BuzzSumo, Topsy, and Amazon to understand how many people are searching on the net and selling “stuff” around a certain market or niche.

With this data in hand, it will be more useful to know if you have a good market to serve.

It is not easy to give views of which products are good or not but to make you better know how to evaluate a niche if a series of keywords are examined 2000 times a month, we are talking about a micro-niche and it will be almost a gamble to create a business around such a small market.

At the same time, however, it could be a gold mine as the smaller the market the easier it will be to get visibility and consequently the easier it will be to sell a certain product.

Once you have some data in hand, the next step will be the research of potential competitors and consequently, the study of his moves to better understand how to act in the market.

2) Identify the problem or need

The preliminary phase is not over yet. After understanding if the market is interesting enough to investigate, it will be necessary to identify a problem or a need.

This is a fundamental step, even if you are the most experienced expert in the world no one will want to buy your information products if they do not solve a certain problem or do not satisfy a certain need.

The good story is that we often now know the result. If we have experienced the market in other ways or we have managed to find a specific request for a problem in the first step, we are on the horse, this step is practically solved.

If not, let’s rely on Yahoo Answers or Quora to understand what users’ questions are and consequently their needs and problems.

If you don’t find anything in these two places, it’s time to turn to Facebook.

Create a survey on SurveyMonkey and create a Facebook Ads campaign on your specific target. Spending less than 50 euros you will have all the answers you need.

3) Create your product

Well! You have identified the market or the niche, you have managed to target a problem or a need and now … all that remains is to give light to your work!

First, you need to create a mind map of the course, to organize it in different modules (chapters) and sections. To do this use Xmind.

Then continue with writing your ebook or posting your video program.

If you don’t know how to record videos, use PowerPoint and Camtasia.

Once ready ( it certainly does not happen overnight ) analyze your work and decide which parts to give to the public.

This you have to do for two reasons:

To show who you are and that you have a say

To collect subscribers and launch an email marketing strategy ( here you start with $ 1 )

Making these extracts free will serve to pique people’s curiosity and get closer to your brand.

4) Create your site + Landing page

As said before, there are parts of an InfoBusiness that could be hard to get through, some patiently study and study before launching their own info business.

This fourth step represents an obstacle for many. If you don’t know how to create a professional website and don’t want to go crazy with a thousand tutorials left and right, you might want to consider hiring an agency to commission the job.

Otherwise, don’t worry, it’s certainly not a walk in the park but you don’t even have to become an engineer to build your site yourself. With WordPress, you can create a site in a few hours, without investing a cent except a few euros for hosting and the domain.

With WordPress you can create super professional sites, very current and above all simple to navigate.

Most marketers know WordPress like the back of their hand precisely because it is the easiest tool to learn and with a wide choice of features such as OptimizePress, an add-on application to build your Landing Pages and Squeeze Pages.

If you want a quick and practical solution to learn how to start your blog and make it successful, take a look at this page.

Today “creating a site” means little or nothing.

What you need is:

4 Pages (homepage, page about me, contacts, and blog)

A landing page

A squeeze page (integrated with your autoresponder)

Everything else, for your start, is superfluous.

5) Show who you are

At this point, all you have to do is promote your business.

Your goal? Become a reference point in the market.

How you do it?!?

First, roll up your sleeves. If you think you’ve worked hard until step 4, get ready because you haven’t seen anything yet.

The point wherever you have to use most of your account is the blog. Write, write, write.

Don’t think about the results and go ahead with blinders towards creating as much content as you can get out of the hat (if you want to learn more, read this )

Many may advise you to use Pay per Click but, for those starting, this is not the ideal place to sell digital products.

If you are not known, if you do not already have some success behind you, you will hardly get a return on your investment, without thinking that PPCs are complex enough tools to understand to get to spend less than you earn.

And let’s not forget that if you create an InfoBusiness, we work in information, and what’s better than promoting yourself with the same information?

There may be innovative fashions and software that work for a while, but good content will never go out of style, let’s never forget that the internet is information.

Create as many articles as you can and if you feel like it, start posting short videos on youtube too. If you are consistent you will see that you will start receiving quite a few visitors within a few weeks.

Conclusions

To conclude, I want you to keep two important concepts in mind before starting your new adventure.

Do whatever research you think is appropriate regarding what I will tell you shortly, you have no idea how important it is:

Whoever manages to create a successful InfoBusiness is only one type of person: the one who creates content (have you ever heard the phrase ” content is the king “?).

If you create content, there is no freedom, sooner or later you will be able to build a successful Online Business. I dare say, mathematician.

The best marketing expert is YOU.

There is no “Internet Marketing Expert” and there is no strategy that works better than another outright.

What exists are running tests, where each course results and works against.

So as your InfoBusiness grows, practice (!) Because it’s the only way to identify the right answers, the answers you need to grow more and more and create your online empire.

If you have any doubts or questions, please post them to me in the comments! I know very well that it is not easy and there are many unknowns in your head, so come forward, the necessary push could come from your comment
